"Hyakusei fumetsu" means that something will not wear down even after a hundred generations, and it is a phrase that expresses the idea of something that will continue to exist while maintaining its value forever.

　Paying homage to Japan's nearly 100-year history of whisky production, this original series, themed "SEEK THE ULTIMATE," features whiskies specially selected and bottled by RUDDER LTD. from casks aged at Japanese distilleries.

　The 22nd release is a bespoke-style single malt from the Shindo Distillery, operated by Shinozaki Co., Ltd., which has been brewing sake since the Edo period and started as Shinozaki Shoten in 1922. The blend brings out the captivating flavor of the main malt, Mizunara oak cask-aged whisky, resulting in an impressive bottle with greater depth and sharpness in its aroma. We wish for the further development and success of Japanese whisky culture in the next 100 years.　　

Tasting comment by Tsuyoshi Kitakaji

[Scent] Peach tea, leather furniture, resin, nutmeg, white pepper, followed by dried apricot, candied fruit, and humus.

[Flavor] This coffee offers a rich blend of walnut, coconut, and berry fruit flavors, along with notes of chocolate-covered orange, red melon, nectarine, menthol, and a slightly waxy undertone.

[Finish] Plum, royal milk tea, horseradish, sandalwood incense, cinnamon and ginger, and a very long-lasting sweetness and spice derived from Japanese oak.

[Comment] This whisky, which could be called the house style of Shindo Distillery, has milky, fatty, and toffee-like aromas derived from lactones. The maturation in Mizunara oak casks makes these flavors even more powerful, resulting in a refined finish and recipe.
