| This new series from THE ULTIMATESPIRITS shines a spotlight on whiskies with duality and surprises, such as young spirits that are already complete, or those that differ from the house style but are of high quality, allowing you to experience the true essence of a bottler brand. The 18th release is from The Great Northern Distillery in Ireland. Established in 2015 by John Teeling on the site of the former Great Northern Brewery in Dundalk, this distillery is one of the largest in Ireland. While it produces a wide variety of Irish whiskey styles, it has had very few releases from independent bottlers until now. Furthermore, this particular release is a precious single malt made from whiskey distilled in 2015, the distillery's first year of operation, and aged for 10 years. At present, there are almost no other bottler releases with the same specifications, making its rarity outstanding. The label features Morrigan, the goddess of battle, victory, and prophecy of fate in Irish Celtic mythology. Her sometimes cunning and trickster-like nature is perfectly suited to this whisky, which boasts rare specifications that are difficult to even discover, and possesses an unknown, unique character. This is truly a bottle that embodies the essence of the TRICKSTER series. | |

[Fragrance] Fruit candy, Granny Smith (green apple), pear brandy, vanilla, meringue, and granola with milk.
[Taste] Green banana, papaya, celery, peanut butter cookies, cinnamon roll, resin, sweet incense, lemongrass, oily body. Gradually becomes dry and spicy.
[Finish] Barley sugar, rice husks, ale beer, Yatsuhashi wrapped in washi paper, oak leaves, green tea. A refreshing, minty sensation lingers pleasantly.
[Comment] At present, Great Northern whiskies are rarely released by independent bottlers, and a bottling of whisky aged for over 10 years is extremely rare and almost impossible to find. It is a little shy when first opened, so we recommend adding a small amount of water.
