A sherried variation of The Gauldrons from Douglas Laing! This blended malt is comprised of malt whiskies from the Campbeltown region, and has been given a finishing period in Spanish sherry casks, introducing some delectable notes of dried fruit, chocolate, and festive spice to the softly smoky situation. Hugely impressive stuff from the independent bottling experts!
Nose: Toasted marshmallow, oatcake, toffee apple, and cinnamon.
Palate: Sultana, nutmeg, earthy smoke, damson, black pepper.
Finish: Milk chocolate, savoury smokiness lingering.
