Brugal 1888 is the result of an expertise transmitted and developed over 5 generations in the Brugal family. 
Made from molasses from canes grown in the Dominican Republic, the distillate is then aged in cellars in the north of the country under a tropical climate. This crucial stage has been mastered for more than 130 years by the Brugal family thanks to handpicked barrels in which the rum is matured. 
For Brugal 1888, a first maturation takes place in barrels that have contained Bourbon. After 6 to 8 years, a second maturation takes place in Sherry Oloroso casks from Europe. The result is a rum with a warm and balanced profile. The woody, cocoa and red fruit aromas are supported by notes of sweet spices (cinnamon, vanilla), nuts and raisins. The finish makes you appreciate Brugal 1888 for a long time after tasting. 
To be served dry or very simply, as with an ice ball of coconut water.
