This was dig out from a hotel's warehouse, in Sentosa. It was originalIy from Le Meridien Sentosa Whisky Bar and after their closure the bottle left in the hotel's air-conditioned warehouse. Things to be aware: >Old bottling might have broken cork, and this has some damages to the label. You can remove the cork with toothpicks or screw. Videos: HERE |

One of a raft of wood-finished Benriachs introduced in Summer 2010, this 16yo has been finished in claret barrels after an initial maturation in ex-bourbon casks and is described as tasting of 'Spiced fruit scones, enrobed in a fig and date syrup.' |

Nose – clean and fruity. Stewed plums and damsons with sweet oak nuances. Embracing but with real finesse. Colour – bright sparkling orange gold. Taste – Spiced fruit scones, enrobed in a fig and date syrup. Fairly light acidity, yet with lovely mouth-cleansing fruits. A whisky with the flavours standing in perfect equilibrium. |
