The Penicillin

A relatively new addition to the bar scene, it quickly became a fan favorite due to its well-balanced and flavorful smoke.

This cocktail combines ginger and peaty scotch to create a warm & inviting concoction.

Ingredients(1 serving):

  • 40ml of Johnnie Walker Black Label
  • 5ml of ginger liqueur
  • 15ml of honey syrup
  • 15ml of fresh lemon juice
  • 1 dash of Angostura Bitters
  • Crystallized ginger pieces

Combine filtered water and honey in a small saucepan at a 1:1 ratio over medium heat until well combined.

After syrup has cooled, combine all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker, fill with ice and shake for 7-10 seconds.

Strain and serve over ice before garnishing the cocktail with a piece of crystallized ginger.

Smoky Old Fashioned

This is a simple one, a smoky twist on the classic old fashioned. This is an old fashioned that is perfect for the gram though! This recipe uses a cocktail smoker kit to further exemplify the fact that this is not just your classic old fashioned.

Ingredients (1 serving):

  • 60ml of smoky scotch
  • 1 sugar cube
  • 2-3 dashes of angostura bitters
  • 1 twist orange peel
  • 1 cherry
  • 1 large clear ice cube
  • Cocktail smoker kit

Smoke the garnishes (cherry, orange peel & sugar cube) for 2 minutes.

Muddle the smoked sugar cube with the Angostura bitters in a short glass.

Add the cube of ice and pour in your choice of smoky scotch. We used the Caol Ila 12 for ours!

Garnish the glass with the smoked orange and cherry.

Cover the cocktail glass with plastic wrap then lift a small portion to insert the smoke infuser tube and fill the glass with smoke. Allow the smoke to linger for 1-2 minutes before removing the plastic wrap and serving.
