Jack Daniel's, the iconic whiskey that is the first touchpoint for many into the world of whiskies, This whiskey from Tennessee is undoubtedly the most popular & best-selling one in America.

It's inexpensive price tag, availability & versatility makes it an excellent whiskey to start with as its decent on its own and mixes up well with other beverages for an elevated taste experience!

In a bar, you cannot go wrong with making a cocktail with Jack Daniel's as its base! Be it something as simple as a Jack Daniel's with Coke or a traditional Whiskey Old Fashioned, the Jack Daniel's will be a safe go-to option.

With that said, here are some of our personal favorite cocktails made with the versatile Jack Daniel's!

Jack Daniel's Tasting Notes

Tasting notes taken from The Chaps at Master of Malt

On its own, the Jack Daniel's may not shine as bright as some other whiskies out there; but when used in a cocktail, this Tennessee Whiskey shows off its versatility, blending and enhancing any cocktail it is used in!

Nose: Light with plenty of sweetness. There are hints of dry spice and oily nuts, a touch of smoke.

Palate: Quite smooth and soft with notes of banana milkshake, a mixed nut note, a touch of caramel with crème anglaise.

Finish: Sweet with a little cereal sweetness and toasty oak.

Jack The Ripper Cocktail

A clever play on the name of the whiskey and story of the infamous serial killer, this cocktail is made to be dark and devilishly delicious!

Ingredients required:

  • 4 oz Jack Daniels
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 cinnamon sticks
  • Half a fresh squeezed orange
  • 2 tbsp salted caramel

Boil the sugar and water in a medium saucepan till the sugar dissolves then add cinnamon sticks and remove from heat. Allow the mixture to steep till its cool then remove cinnamon sticks and store the mixture in the fridge till it cools.

Mix the Jack Daniels, the cinnamon mixture and squeezed orange with ice until frosty and strain it into a glass.

Serve the cocktail with a salted caramel rim as seen in the image and you have your Jack the Ripper cocktail!

The Lynchburg Lemonade

A smooth and refreshing cocktail that is perfect for a hot and sunny day. This is basically a lemonade spiked with Jack Daniels, the results?— a surprisingly smooth cocktail with just the right amount of whiskey kick!

Ingredients required:

  • 1 oz Jack Daniel’s 
  • 1 oz triple sec
  • Fresh lemons (1oz of lemon juice)
  • 4 oz lemon-lime soda

The ingredients are portioned for 1 drink, so increase that as many times as you want whilst keeping to this ratio.

Squeeze your fresh lemons and strain it into a pitcher. Add the remaining ingredients and stir to mix. Once done, we recommend using ice-filled mason jars to serve your cocktails for the complete lemonade look!

The Godfather No. 7

Amaretto is the sweet almond liqueur from Italy that makes a great match for the smooth sippin’ whiskey from Tennessee.

Ingredients required:

  • 1 oz Jack Daniel's
  • Half oz Amaretto
  • 2 oz Coke
  • Orange slice & dark cherry (for garnish)

Fill rock glass with cubed ice, pour the Jack Daniels and other ingredients in and stir.

Garnish the cocktail with an orange slice and a dark cherry.
