January Whisky Spotlight: Amrut Single Malt Whisky

The flagship Single Malt of India's Amrut Distillery

Amrut is the very first single malt produced by India, laying the foundation for later brands like Rampur, Paul John and more to follow.

The name Amrut or amrit is derived from a Sanskrit word which can be translated as "nectar of the gods" a perfectly fitting name for the whiskies produced by this Indian distillery!

Amrut launched their first whisky on 24 August 2004 in Glasgow and the rest is history. Today, Amrut rubs shoulders with the best single malts in the world, winning loads of accolades and awards for their outstanding quality.
