Blanton’s Gold Edition is a standout in Buffalo Trace’s legendary single barrel series. It is Long, complex and rich, with deep notes of assorted dried fruit, ripe juicy plum, honeysuckle and spice. The first single barrel bourbon that restored the American whiskey’s prestige in 1984, Blanton’s later released a Gold Edition at 103 proof (51.5% alc). Blanton’s has a higher percentage of rye in its recipe, making it drier and spicier (cinnamon and nutmeg). It offers notes of black fruits, pecans, oak, and a touch of sweetness with honey and vanilla.
