The latest release from Macallan has just been unveiled!
What it is
The Distil Your World New York whisky is the newest addition to the limited edition single malt release by Macallan that drew inspiration from leading locations around the globe.
The current bottles in the market for this series by Macallan are:
- London
- Scotland
- Jerez
Needless to say, as with every release from Macallan, this bottle will be highly coveted as well! Furthermore, there are only 1,000 bottles released internationally.
This bottle was created by Macallan whisky maker Polly Logan which said: "This This project is a homage to the people of New York. The daring, creative and diverse characters we’ve met along the way. This whisky is bold, vibrant and uplifting – just like each of them."
Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes were taken from Macallan's website (unfortunately, we don't have the luxury to taste it!)
Color: City Sunrise
Aroma: Big apple with peanut brittle and milk chocolate. A sweet and salty mix like a rising dough and a wisp of sidewalks, fresh rain and cherry blossom.
Palate: Baked apple and raisin, chocolate-covered nuts, maple syrup and toasted waffles with a side of salted pecans.
Finish: Medium with roasted nuts and sweet oak.
ABV: 49.5%
