Korea's hope & beginning to single malt whisky
The Origin
KI ONE was distilled by Three Societies Distillery in South Korea.
The first whiskey distillery in South Korea also brought the first single malt whiskey, KI ONE Tiger Edition- Achieved a remarkable milestone.
A premium 200ml non-age statement whisky to kick off their journey of hope.
Distributions
A total release of 1506 bottles.
500 bottles are sold in the local market
The remaining 1000 bottles will be exported to the following market:
1)Singapore
2)Hongkong
3)Taiwan
4)USA
5)Japan
KI ONE was aged since July 7, 2020, in new American oak casks.
Future series
KI ONE has stated that they will release two more series before hitting its minimum age to be released in the European market: Unicorn & Eagle edition.
We will be witnessing the ageing process of KI ONE whisky.
This whole series will be extremely valuable not only because of its limited bottle number but also because we are witnessing a new distillery in Asia.
KI ONE also means hope & beginning.
Nose
I can still sense the strong presence of alcohol. Oaky and floral smell.
Taste
Generally, KI ONE is smooth but still can taste the presence of alcohol in it. The body of KI ONE is very thin. Probably due to the fact, KI ONE is only 1 year old.
Finish
Smokey. Thin finish. Overall it is a very ‘standard’ drink.
