Tasting Notes |
Nose: unmistakeably peaty, smoke and fresh tarry aromas, fishing ropes, a sweet savoury twist comes into play with a cask aged balsamic vinegar aroma, sea spray and crispy seaweed, hints of coastal BBQ and dry drift wood. Palate: The richness of the Bourbon Cask has added influence to the robust taste of this Islay single malt, meaty and bold opening with smoke and peat, some candied citrus peel, tobacco leaf, some pine needles and sweet smoke, liquorice and dark fruits make a break on the later part of the palate before a spicy smoke and peat with the tar notes from the nose linger throughout the dram. |
